The Impact of Efficient Routing on Solving Shipping and Distribution Challenges

This study focuses on the Company, an organization that faces notable challenges in its distribution process, especially with split shipments. Despite its strategic location and a constant flow of demand, the Company has struggled with inefficiency in its distribution operations. In view of the above, the study aims to identify and analyze the flaws in the Company's current distribution system and explore how an improved routing approach can offer defined solutions. In developing this study, a methodology was adopted that integrates two essential components: a brief case study and a literature review. This multifaceted approach was chosen to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the related challenges and opportunities. to routing and distribution in the company in question. After thoroughly examining the Company's logistics and routing operations, it is essential to emphasize that there are considerable obstacles, as well as new prospects for advancement. The proposed implementation of a more effective routing strategy not only offers a solution to the current problems faced by the company, but also prepares it for continued prosperity in a competitive market.
