Advantages and Disadvantages with the Use of RFID

The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has revolutionized warehouse management, offering a range of advantages that extend from optimizing inventory control to improving efficiency in logistics operations. This study explores the strategies and best practices for implementing RFID, highlighting its importance in today’s business landscape, where accuracy and agility are essential. The adoption of RFID enables real-time tracking of products, reducing errors and enhancing inventory visibility. However, the successful implementation of this technology requires careful planning, appropriate infrastructure, and staff training. The main challenges faced by companies include selecting the appropriate RFID system and integrating it with existing logistics processes. Strategic partnerships with suppliers are crucial to ensure technical support and information security. Continuous evaluation of results and the establishment of performance indicators are fundamental to optimizing operations and identifying new improvement opportunities.
