Simulation using Arena software
Analysis of the inventory process in na industrial automation company

This study aims to identify and analyze the main difficulties related to the stock counting and recounting process during a company's inventory. Through simulation using the ARENA® software, issues such as time management in the counting and recounting stages, as well as operational bottlenecks that directly impact the process's efficiency, were identified. The methodology combined a comprehensive literature review with a practical case study. The results highlighted the need to implement strategic actions to optimize the inventory process. These actions include the introduction of a more accurate and agile counting system, as well as the redistribution of employees involved in the inventory operations. These interventions demonstrated significant potential to improve operational efficiency, reduce time spent on counting, and balance the task division within the team, contributing to the company's greater competitiveness in the market. This study also provides a solid foundation for future research and practical implementations, emphasizing simulation as an essential tool for improving logistical and operational processes.
