The optimization of supply chain processes with the use of ERP

The present scientific article addresses the influence of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation on supply chain process optimization. ERP systems play a fundamental role in coordinating, providing visibility, and enhancing the efficiency of operations across the supply chain, replacing outdated and decentralized methods. The conducted research consisted of a qualitative bibliographic review of the last 10 years, identifying the benefits of ERP integration, such as improved operational efficiency, interdepartmental integrations, informed decision-making, and increased customer satisfaction. Furthermore, two case studies highlighted the significance of ERP in optimizing the supply chain in industrial and technological contexts. As a research limitation, the study noted the limited quantity of articles found, and the unavailability of one of them. This study contributes to the field of supply chain management by offering insights into the positive impacts of ERP system adoption.
