The study aims to present the dropshipping business model, in which the seller does not need to maintain physical stock of the products he sells, as the supplier is responsible for shipping directly to the customer. In the literature, dropshipping is treated as a growing business approach, but one that requires research, planning and dedication from entrepreneurs to achieve success. As characteristics for its application, the steps of choosing reliable suppliers, defining the marketing strategy and inventory metrics, online store flow and customer satisfaction emerge. In-depth analysis revealed that while dropshipping offers significant advantages such as reduced upfront costs and operational flexibility, challenges include dependence on third parties for delivery and fierce competition. One of the main results obtained highlights the crucial importance of establishing solid partnerships with reliable suppliers, ensuring an efficient supply chain. To improve the topic of dropshipping, future studies can focus on in-depth investigation of risk mitigation strategies associated with dependence on external suppliers. Exploring technological innovations, such as artificial intelligence in order management and personalizing the customer experience, is also a promising area for future research.
