The Potential and Capacity of Brazil for Investments in the Green Economy whit the Trend of the Global Transition in the 21st Century

This article examines Brazil's strategic role in the transition to a green economy in the global context of the 21st century. With its vast biodiversity and abundance of natural resources, Brazil stands out as a nation with great potential to adopt sustainable practices, particularly in the energy sector, with an emphasis on renewable sources such as hydropower, wind, solar, and biomass. Additionally, it discusses the importance of government incentives and financial instruments such as the green bond market, which have boosted the ability to develop national and international investments in sustainable projects, as well as the possibility of carbon market regulation. Therefore, the article aims to analyze this potential for meeting the low-carbon economic development goals set by the United Nations' 2030 Agenda.
