This article investigates the legal and ethical challenges at the intersection of sustainable fashion and cultural appropriation in the entertainment industry, seeking to answer the question: “What are the legal and ethical impacts of the representation of sustainable fashion in entertainment productions, particularly regarding cultural appropriation, and how do these factors affect public perception and the practice of conscious consumption?” The research addresses the representation of sustainable fashion in films and series, analyzing how this influences public perception and ethical consumption practices, as well as examining cultural appropriation in fashion and its manifestations in the media. Based on a literature review, the study discusses relevant legislation, the legal consequences of cultural appropriation, and offers recommendations for brands and content creators on responsible practices that promote both sustainability and respect for cultural diversity. This work aims to contribute to a broader understanding of the challenges faced by the entertainment industry in the ethical and sustainable representation of fashion.
