Female presence in the logistics labor market

The presence of women in the labor market is a reality existing over the last years. It is noticed that logistics area has presented a large number of opportunities for the development of activities by female audience. This paper seeks to present the advances, opportunities and challenges that women face in logistics. The methodology used was the bibliographic research survey of information through journals with a qualitative approach the result found was that, despite the obstacles, women have distinguished themselves in different functions, bringing new perspectives and skills to the sector. In addition, gender diversity can improve team performance and innovation in logistics companies.
