Impacts of inefficiency in the distribution of medicines in hospitals in Brazil

The distribution of medicines directly impacts the quality of care and patient safety, since, to guarantee these services, it is necessary to have efficiency in inventory control, adequate storage, delivery time, control of waste of resources and adequate planning in the purchasing scheme. The lack of efficiency in this area can compromise patient care. This article aims to identify the impacts of inefficiency in the distribution of medicines in hospitals in Brazil, based on the review and analysis of bibliographic data.
