Production management, traditionally focused on optimizing industrial processes, offers an innovative approach that can be adapted to improve quality of life outside the industrial context. This article explores the application of the 5S system to the oral hygiene of elderly people with Alzheimer's Disease (AD), highlighting how this approach can transform care practices and enhance patient well-being. The 5S principles — Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Organize), Seiso (Clean), Seiketsu (Standardize), and Shitsuke (Sustain) — are analyzed in their adaptation to address specific challenges in oral hygiene for AD patients, providing significant benefits to health and quality of life.
