This study presents the application of ARENA Simulation software for modeling and analyzing production processes in a pet industry company specializing in on-demand dog bed manufacturing. Three production scenarios were simulated: internal, mixed, and fully outsourced, based on data collected on-site and validated through interviews and time measurements. The model evaluated performance indicators such as total production time, resource utilization, and queue formation. Results showed that the fully outsourced scenario achieved the best performance, reducing total production time by 80% and providing better cost-capacity balance. The study highlights the potential of discrete-event simulation as a decision-support tool and reinforces its applicability in small and medium-sized manufacturing companies seeking greater efficiency and competitiveness in digital markets.
