Reverse logistics in an LED lamp supplier and the potential of green marketing

The technical report discusses the main factors limiting the effectiveness of reverse logistics implemented by the supplier IMSC Lâmpadas and how these factors prevent the company from fully exploiting its sustainable potential. The analysis shows that, although a manual return and separation process for components to be sent to recycling cooperatives exists, its effectiveness is reduced by its exclusive dependence on customer initiative, without a structured collection system or external partnerships. Furthermore, the absence of green marketing strategies prevents these actions from reaching the population. Therefore, it is concluded that, to broaden the reach of reverse logistics and transform sustainability into a competitive advantage, it is essential that the company develop new collection methods and implement communication actions aimed at raising awareness and engaging the population.
