The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Logistics Planning

La inteligencia artificial se ha consolidado como una de las principales innovaciones tecnológicas aplicadas a la logística, transformando los procesos de planificación y gestión en cadenas de suministro cada vez más complejas. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar las contribuciones de la inteligencia artificial a la eficiencia operativa, la competitividad y la sostenibilidad de las cadenas de suministro. La metodología adoptada se basó en una revisión de literatura, recopilando estudios recientes que abordan la integración de la IA en diferentes etapas de la logística, lo que permitió comprender tendencias, beneficios y limitaciones del uso de estas tecnologías. Los resultados indicaron que el uso de algoritmos de aprendizaje automático permite prever la demanda con mayor precisión, optimizar las rutas de transporte, mejorar la gestión de inventarios y reducir los impactos ambientales mediante la logística sostenible. También se identificaron desafíos, como la necesidad de inversión en infraestructura digital, la adaptación organizacional y la capacitación de profesionales para manejar sistemas automatizados. Se concluye que la incorporación de la inteligencia artificial constituye un recurso estratégico esencial para la competitividad e innovación de las empresas en la Industria 4.0.
