Abstract

Companies that rely on supply chains have complex functionality as their suppliers and customers are globally dispersed, making them vulnerable to risks. Resilient supply chains reduce the risk of operational disruptions by enabling visibility into all operations in the chain, providing greater security in adapting processes in real time. In this article, we present the perspective of company managers regarding the adoption of digital technology to maintain the operational continuity of their supply chains when subjected to events that may disrupt their operations. The data presented in this article were collected and analyzed in qualitative, exploratory research and were used to prepare the descriptive research approach. The study confirmed the importance of managing supply chain resilience using advanced digital technology tools combined with collaborative management tools. A growing demand for tools that monitor signs of supply chain instability was identified. The results made it possible to classify the main indicators that can help managers continuously develop new supply chain management capabilities, reducing uncertainty and increasing business operational continuity.
