This study aims to analyze how the implementation of circular economy concepts in urban mining can bring positive results for the environment, examining which environmental impacts can be reduced by performing urban mining of electronic waste, such as printed circuit boards, which contain large amounts of precious metals in their composition. The case study was carried out in a company in the urban mining sector, where, through direct observation, the entire process of recovering precious metals contained in these boards was monitored, and it was observed that the process generated large quantities of processing waste that were of no use to the company. Simulations were conducted based on literary studies, leading to the conclusion that, by applying the concept of circular economy and reverse logistics, it was possible to generate sustainability and significantly reduce the environmental impacts that would be caused by the improper disposal of this waste.
