This article addresses the impact of the pandemic on Brazilian truck drivers, answering the following guiding question: What are the impacts of the coronavirus on truck drivers? In order to identify and analyze the changes generated during the period from 2020 to 2021, the methodology adopted was bibliographic and exploratory research. Results obtained: The trucking profession had the highest rate of dismissals and deaths in the ranking of professions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The profile of this professional is mostly male, with an average age of 45, they have completed high school, work on a self-employed basis or on a contract basis for an average of 18 years, women and young people are in the minority. Considerations: there has been a reduction in salary, the use of equipment that was not used before (masks and alcohol gel) in contact with people, goods and greater cleaning of vehicles, precarious structures at rest stops, distancing from contact with people, increased use of social networks for work and entertainment purposes, the government has allowed the use of expired national driver's licenses since 2020 and suspension of truck weight inspection.
