Export and Investment Opportunities in the North Region

This article aims to understand the economy of the northern region based on export data within the period of 2011 to 2016 looking forward to find possibilities of economic growth for the region in the form of exports and investments. The methodology used was quantitative with indicators of commercial exports of the region with the rest of the world, and the sectors that make up the total value of exports and imports. The Data from the study were collected from the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC). Indicating some alternatives as in the soy sector for not having a dynamism and based very much on the sector of Mineral extraction (Iron Ore and Agglomerates) but with a wide territory that could be better used. Aiming to make the region more productive, economically stronger and give more credibility to the products exported there, analyzing, verifying, and identifying investment opportunities that can go beyond just commodities.
