This study addresses the swift transition to remote teaching in educational institutions of the State of São Paulo administered by the Centro Paula Souza (CPS), in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting the implementation of Microsoft Teams as a teaching platform. The methodology involved analyzing the needs of the State Technical Schools (Etecs) and the Faculties of Technology (Fatecs), standardizing team names, defining team types, and creating teams through PowerShell scripting and subsequently using the School Data Sync (SDS). The results demonstrated that, although the initial solution was challenging due to the urgency and complexity of academic structures, the adoption of SDS expedited the process, reducing errors and rework. However, it is suggested that integrating Academic Systems (ASs) with Teams through an API is the ideal approach to facilitate real-time team creation and management, which is under development for future implementation in 2022. This transition to remote teaching emphasizes the importance of adequate infrastructure and effective planning to ensure the continuity of educational activities during emergency crises.
